advanced floral education

created for professionals seeking refinement and lasting evolution in their craft

Floral design deserves more than imitation.
It deserves clarity. Structure. Authorship.

This is not just a workshop.
It is not trend-led.
It is a return to the principles of design—
offered through private sessions that are immersive, technical, and exacting.

These sessions create space to rethink habit, refine
structure, and deepen authorship.

One-on-One Experiences

THE MENTORSHIP

Private.
Personalized. Rooted in your practice.

This mentorship is designed for professionals who want to work with greater clarity, purpose, and authorship.

It begins with a conversation—an in-depth look at your work, your process, and where you’d like to grow. From there, a focused plan is developed, grounded in your habits and creative direction.

The work takes place over two full days, on site in your own workspace—where your materials and ways of working already live. That context matters. It allows the process to meet you where you are—and move you forward.

Sessions are immersive and exacting. We examine how you design—and why. Where structure supports you. Where it holds you back. We rebuild foundations. Rethink habits. Refine what’s working. Strip away what’s not.

This is not a lesson.
It’s a working experience—quiet, rigorous, and deeply your own.

Investment: $4,200

Includes:
— Personalized planning consultation
— Two full days of private, on-site education
— Travel to your location within the U.S.

Floral materials not included
a product list will be provided

THE OBSERVER

For those not quite ready to dive in—but drawn to the work, the process, and the pace of it.

This two-day internship offers the opportunity to quietly shadow Michael
as he works.

It’s not a lesson. Not formal training.
There’s no curriculum to follow.

Instead, you’ll observe in real time—
watching the work take shape,
absorbing the choices behind each stem,
each gesture, each shift in structure.

A chance to witness the process from within—intuitively, attentively.
To see not just what’s created, but how it unfolds—and why that unfolding matters.

Investment: $1,500

Includes:
— Two full days observing client work
as it unfolds—from concept to execution

— Informal Q+A during natural breaks
and transitions

— Exposure to workflow, pacing
in a real-time design process

“Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and thorough session.

I feel a lot more prepared for my PFDE testing—and honestly, more confident about putting myself out there in the design world.
Your support and insight really meant a lot. Fingers crossed!”

STAGE PRESENTATIONS FOR PROFESSIONALS

It’s a finely structured program for seasoned designers—
those who seek substance over spectacle.

This is more than a performance.

It’s an invitation to re-engage with the principles that make floral work endure: authorship, restraint, and clarity of design.

why michael?

Michael Derouin is not just a presenter—he’s a working floral artist with a career rooted in luxury design and a reputation for technical rigor.

His programs are sculptural, composed, and deeply considered—spoken in the language of professionals and grounded in a philosophy that favors structure over excess, and intention over habit.

For organizations seeking more than entertainment—those ready to challenge, inspire, and elevate their audience—this is the program that delivers.

PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS

This is not a casual class.

It’s a focused, practice-based experience—designed to strengthen technique, deepen structure,
and re-engage with the principles that give floral work its lasting power.

Each workshop centers on a theme or project, developed in collaboration with the host, and
taught with the same clarity, restraint, and authorship that define Michael’s work.

Participants create their own compositions, working through proportion, placement, and
intention—with direct guidance and thoughtful critique throughout.

The result is a session that sharpens not just skill, but perspective—
grounded in process, not performance.

or
$1,200 when paired with a presentation
